Through Fundación Educacional Oportunidad, local experiences will be shared and participating organizations will learn about practices in our country. Currently, the Ministry of Education, the CIAE of the University of Chile, Fundación Presente, and Belén Educa are part of the initiative.

In 2023, theInternational Network for School Attendance(INSA) - which collects, generates, evaluates and disseminates information and strategies to combat truancy worldwide - invited Fundación Educacional Oportunidad to be part of its My Country project, making Chile the first Latin American country to join this prestigious international space.

Following this milestone, Fundación Educacional Oportunidad created in our country the INSA Chile Network, a collaborative alliance between public and private organizations dedicated to the promotion and improvement of school attendance in the country.

Key partners in this initiative include the Ministry of Education (Mineduc), the Center for Advanced Research in Education (CIAE), Fundación Presente, Fundación Belén Educa, and Fundación Arauco.

Together, these actors seek to position Chile as a national and international benchmark in the field of school attendance, promoting educational practices that aim to influence public policies that ensure inclusive and quality education for all children.

Carolina Soto, who leads the INSA Chile Network from Fundación Educacional Oportunidad, mentioned that "it has been a privilege to found this initiative and work towards a shared objective: to promote school attendance of children and young people in Chile in collaboration with outstanding organizations".

Carolina also highlighted the importance of keeping abreast of national and international trends and developments in the field of school attendance that being part of INSA generates. "Being in constant contact with public-private organizations, researchers and policy makers at the global level allows us to enrich our work and learn from international experiences. This not only keeps us up to date with the latest trends in school attendance, but also positions our Network in the international conversation," he said.

Through the INSA Chile Network, our country seeks to consolidate itself as a reference in the promotion of school attendance, with the aim of influencing public policies that improve the quality and equity of education for our children.
